A Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA) is a mid-level health care professional that works under the supervision of a radiologist. Weber State University in Ogden, Utah was approached to help develop a curriculum due to their advanced courses in the science of radiology and started the program in 1997. Thereafter, the National Society of Radiology Practitioner Assistants (NSRPA) evolved and has been growing exponentially due to the increasing applicants at Weber State University.

The NSRPA is a non-profit organization that has been established for the RPA to be involved with the medical community as a professional society. The society is an active participant with other organizations and health care professionals to educate and promote the role of the RPA. Furthermore, the NSRPA holds an annual conference conducting seminars and presentations that is open to any member of the medical community.

2010 NSRPA ANNUAL Conference
2010 Annual Conference Please make plans to attend the annual conference April 25-28, 2010 in Las Vegas. The meeting will be held at Harrah’s Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas strip. We have expanded to a 4 day meeting offering speaker presentations, workshops, and ACLS; all allowing at least 24 CEs. A formal schedule will be available as we draw closer and finalize speakers and courses. Outside of the education aspect of the conference an evening social is also being planned by the conference committee, the date and time will posted along with the formal conference agenda. Harrah’s has worked diligently with our committee to help make this venue and meeting the best we have ever had; offering us room rates as low as $65/night including the weekend! The committee encourages you to take advantage of the low cost Harrah’s has extended as well as the convenient location their facility offers and make your trip to Vegas the best ever.
